Consumer Demo Days
Saturday, December 13
Test out this season's newest ski and snowboard gear at Belleayre's annual Consumer Demo Days. Reps from various manufacturers will be set up outside the Overlook Lodge. To demo, leave your driver's license and a credit card with the reps, and take their skis out for a test spin. The cost is free, and you'll get a chance to "test drive" the newest technology.


ASIA Fall Rally

This season join in on "From Groomed to Crud to Scraped" In this fun clinic you'll learn to carve up the groomers, blast through crud, and slice on the ice as snow conditions change throughout the day. Hanukkah Candle Lighting Ceremony

Join us in the Garden Room of the Overlook Lodge to celebrate the Festival of Lights. The ceremony begins at 12 noon, with refreshments served.

Santa will be making stops at Belleayre on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 20th & 21st ! It's your chance to get your last minute requests in before the big day. Get your picture taken with Santa between 12:00 am - 1 pm both days in the Discovery Lodge. After his work is done, Santa will be out skiing along with his buddy The Beast!

Belleayre Mountain's Discovery Lodge
This yearly sell-out event is back. Many of the region's finest eateries gather under one roof to present their finest culinary delights. This is a superb way to sample all those restaurants you've been meaning to visit. Proceeds benefit the BRLTA. As Partners in Profit with Belleayre Mountain, this important group works to promote the Catskills and the Belleayre Region to enhance local economic development. Ticket holders are eligible for a multitude of door prizes including accommodations, locally produced merchandise, and event tickets. Prices and times will be posted as available.

NATO Telemark Workshop

The North American Telemark Organization (NATO) will be hosting the most complete two-day on-snow Telemark clinic offered in North America. Learn beginner to advanced Telemark skiing from an alpine point of view. We cover it all, from the DNA of basic Telemark skiing to high end hybrid free heel techniques including step, jump, and hop Tele's, linking smooth turns, and free heel parallel. ASIA Bump Festival

Mogul Introduction: This is where you learn to ski those pesky moguls that pile up when the powder and groomed snow gets pushed around!
Mogul Improvement: If you already love the bumps, you'll learn more tactics for skiing the troughs, the sides, the ridges or any other place you want to ski them.

Belleayre welcomes all NYSDEC employees to Belleayre Mountain for a fun day of skiing, riding and partying! Discounted lift tickets are available with valid DEC identification, a bus trip from 625 Broadway in Albany is offered, and an apres-ski party in the Overlook Lodge will give us a chance to meet new and returning friends. Beast's Birthday Party

The Beast would be so pleased if you'd join him for a birthday party in his honor! Sign his giant birthday card, have a dance with him, and enjoy some birthday snacks with him. Party starts at noon in the Discovery Lodge, and it's free!

20th Annual Scout Days
Saturday January 10, Saturday February 7 & Saturday March 14 - Sunday March 15, 2009
Scouts and their immediate family members will ski for $34.00 per person. Rentals are just $23.00. All you have to do is bring a valid Scout ID to any ticket window. All Scouts are entitled to a free any level group lesson with the purchase of their area use ticket. If you have a group of 15 or more, please make reservations in advance by calling ext. 2474.


Cardboard Classic

Have you ever wanted to sled down Belleayre Mountain? Here's your chance! Everyone is welcome to make their own sled out of cardboard and duct tape, then race down the slope behind the Longhouse Lodge. Make your sled at home and bring it with you, or come to the Longhouse Lodge between 9 am - noon to use materials Belleayre provides. Use your imagination to build the most stable and aerodynamic sled you can! Cost is free to enter. Race begins at 1 pm. Helmets are required.


Beach Party & Reggae Fest

Spring skiing, anyone? Celebrate the warmer temperatures and longer days with Belleayre's Beach Party & Reggae Fest. Bask in the rays as we all hang out on one of Belleayre's decks and enjoy the sun. Join in the fun of a snow volleyball game, music, contests and games with plenty of prizes, beer specials and the Dummy Race highlight this day of fun.

Part of the Beach Party fun, the Dummy Race gives you a chance to flex your creative muscles! Build a "dummy" on skis or a snowboard and let 'er rip down the mountain...how fun is that? Your dummy can be just about anything...a person skiing, the Beast of Belleayre, a giant fish tank - you name it. Just make sure it sits on skis or a snowboard, then shove it off the starting line and watch it go! The winner is crowned based on creativity of the dummy, longest run, and most spectacular crash. Fair warning - take pictures before you launch, since the huge jump at the end of the course ensures your dummy won't be too recognizable at the end. Entry is free. Race starts at 1 pm behind the Longhouse Lodge

Superintendent's Long Drive Classic

On the final day of the ski season, get your golf swing back to par at the Superintendent's Long Drive Contest. Entry is free to hit that little ball as far as you can down the slopes! Don't worry, Belleayre provides the clubs and balls. Starts at 1 pm.
